Calling your Lady in the Philippines

How you call, depends on on if you are calling a land or cell phone in the Philippines. Hopefully the following quick phone guide will help you out.

Cell Phone

Cell phones are usually the easiest to figure out. For example: 63-919-393-0538. The actual cell phone number is 919-393-0538. If you know her cell phone number, all you need to know is the country code. The country code for the Philippines is 63 (note: you may want to verify by researching on google).

Land Phone

Land Phones are a little more confusing. Besides the phone number and country code, you need to know the city code. For example: 632-393-0538 -- In this case the lady's phone number is 393-0538. The Philippine country code is 63 and the 2 is the city code for Manila.

How do you find the city code? Google is the best source but I will provide a link here. A little research may be needed to verify if the source link is up to date.

Phone Cards

Use them. Calling the Philippines can be expensive. When I first met my wife, I went crazy with calling. When I got my first phone bill I was in shock. I could of flown to the Philippines with the amount I spent on calling.

I got smarter. After that first initial shock, I bought phone cards. It was cheaper and it helped me budget my calling

Time Zone

Don't forget the time difference. She may not mind, but calling her while she is in the middle of a dream about you, may not be the best time to wake her.

I use google to find the time in the Philippines. In google's search box type time philippines or philippine time and you should have no problem finding the current time in the Philippines.

Obviously the time difference will vary from country to country. I use to always email Eileen first to give her notice I was going to try to call her at a certain time (I gave the Philippine time I was calling). It usually takes a little planning before hand to communicate with a lady from the Philippines. And even then, there will be times things won't go as smooth as you want. Never, never give up.
