I tried my best to code the site to show when members are online. Is it perfect? NO! The actual coding is not that difficult, but finding the conflicts are. In some cases, it seems to show members online only when they update their “my status”. In other cases, it doesn’t.
My best guess for why who is “online” is sporadic is because of the many other features I paid to add to the site. For example the “my status” is not a regular feature but one I had to pay for to get my site modified for this feature. Since “my status” uses some of the same features as the online feature, there may be a conflict.
I will continue to try to figure out how to tweak the code, but for now paying a programmer to fix any problem is not in the budget. I may be updating the script in 6 to 8 months so if the problem still exists, I will get it resolved then.
Meanwhile, continue to contact members you want to get to know by message. Send a message, wink or even schedule a date to chat sometime. Just like life, not everything is perfect but those who are determined and want it bad enough will find a way.
