We are in the process of moving our sites to a new host. We started the process on May 4 and hopefully will be done by May 7 (May 8 if there are problems). Hopefully the move goes seamlessly without a hitch, but when you are moving this many files (I have 9 domains), there is always a chance the site may be down temporarily to fix any minor problems.
If the site is down, please be patient. I would think it would be up in a few hours unless something major went wrong. During the actual move, we may not accept any new members until all files have been physically moved and sites are up and running.
The reason for the move is two fold: (1) hopefully to improve performance and (2) to help with the current cost. Our current host made it clear that they will not continue servicing our sites at the current cost and I would need to upgrade. I have nothing but praise for my current host (they have been outstanding), but the cost to upgrade is beyond my budget so I was forced to look for another host who could service me within my budget.
When the final move has been completed, hopefully members will help out by testing the site and report any problems that may of been caused by the move. I will let you know when the sites have been moved and ready for testing by updating the News section.
