One of the things I enjoy about Sundays, is a chance to sit back and read. Nearly all of the books I have are historical ones, mostly American. I recently bought a book about the first relations between the Americans and the Filipinos, back in the 1890's.

What little I know about Filipino history is what I picked up when I was in high school many years ago and that was one of the reasons for buying this particular book. Several weeks ago a FE member mentioned Jose Rizal, who is briefly mentioned is this book, but the main person talked about is Emilio Aquinaldo - very interesting person!

Needless to say, this has gotten me interested in learning more about Filipino history. Just hope I can find more interesting books about it.
