You all have heard my rant about running a website, but I still need to vent at times. If I had to sum it up in one sentence it would be: "running a website is not easy and at times overwhelming." <br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">Lots of times it comes down to these things.</span><br /><br />1. You are bound to have problems. Things change. New operating systems, updates to sql databases, php updates, etc. When an update happens, a webmasters job is to check the site to see if it has been effected. Usually it has.<br /><br />2. Dealing with thousands of individual personalities and emails can be time consuming. If everyone would follow and read the instructions, 99% of the answers are within your grasp. But on the realistic side, I know most people don't read and those that are here for other than finding love, are more interested in trying to beat the webmaster for their own self-serving objectives than abiding by the sites guidelines.<br /><br />3. Time - just not enough of it. With that said, those who give me a heads up when there is a problem is appreciated. It really helps to have members who treat the site as if it was their site and care what is going on. For that matter, it is your site. I'm just the housekeeper.<br /><br />Ok, enough ranting. My list of things to do is a mile long.<span style="font-weight:bold;"> If I'm on line and you click to chat with me, please forgive me if I don't reply.</span> I'm usually online trying to resolve an issue and don't have time to chat.
