Guys' Major Sin

Guys' Major Sin

Guys,I tried to be subtle in other articles, news items, and postings to give you a heads up, but guys, you continue to commit one of the major online dating sins.

LADY NETWORK:

I bet close to 50% (maybe higher) of the ladies are talking to dozens of other lady members on the site. Why? Ladies like to talk, compare and have a lady friend to lean on.

You are a dead man, if you get caught being a butterfly within the lady network. They will take your messages, share it, laugh at the cookie cutter message  and before you know it, you are the talk of the lady network, but in a bad way.

A typical cookie cutter message:

"I saw your profile and know you are the ONE for me. If you believe in love at first sight, I hope when you see my profile, you will fall in love like I did. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I know we can have a future together if you feel like I do."

When a lady gets a message that sounds too good to be true, I can guarantee you that she is  going to show that message to a lady friend and ask if they think this guy is the real thing or not. If it turns out the guy sent the friend the same message, you have been tagged as a butterfly in the lady network.

GUYS IT IS SIMPLE:

Guys, you can write to more than one lady, but don't confess your undying love to someone you just met and for god's sake when you send a message, try to use words that indicate you at least glazed at her profile. Get out of the cookie cutter copy and paste mode and keep your message within the "I would like to get to know you stage" without confessing your undying love and you will go a long way in not becoming known as a "butterfly" in the lady network.

Good Luck and be Real!

I will not deny it, I have done something similar to this...only I didn't use a script like that. I am without a doubt that Joan, Joey, Chubby and Ed are very close friends as a perfect example. So I wouldn't be surprised that If I decided to PM Joan on ASW, I may see something about it the next time I log on here on FE, and a variation of it on FL. I know these women are laughing at me, but you know what? It doesn't bother me, I take whatever it is that they are laughing at with a grain of salt. They are not the ones who are paying my bills. Why should my world stop because someone is making a mockery of me over a silly mistake? I bet you that the crude humor that some of these women have is nothing compared to that of what the Security Guards at work have. Those security guards will STARVE for attention, and I noticed that If I completely ignore them, they just disappear into thin air. I do this when their crude humor gets too far.

The point I am making here is: Sometimes, the best PM you have ever sent to a woman is the one you never sent.

Guys, don't be ashamed because you are a man and admit that you have made mistakes. If these women can't grasp the fact that you are not perfect and at times do these stupid things, then stop talking to them. Plan and simple.

Chris.

hahahaha ya its funny having this kind of guy around. I've heard that before and it kind of put me off. Of course in reality you cannot profess your love on someone you have just met on the internet. Even if you have just met her/him personally, you can't do that. Maybe they're looking for something that's different as if picking up a girl.

People who does that, is kind of Funny and out of touch.....

I like your article... it sort of hit the nails directly on the head.

this too funny. us guys are just thirsty. we see a beautiful woman and then we see another beautiful woman then anotber and anotber... And it's like how do you choose between so much beauty. It's not our fault God made women so beautiful. lol. It's like we have ADD and we can't choose one. lol

Cut/ paste is just easy to do. It's tiring looking through the profiles and then have to write something original. Plus you never know whose going to like u/ not like u.

I agree with theme of the article, but men aren't the only ones who commit this travesty. I personally know of a Filipina who, last year, professed love to at least four online men she met in chat rooms... all in a matter of a few weeks. If someone professes love to you in less than a few weeks time, red lights should go off in your head. It's probably a scam.

I just hope men would really try to "get to know" the ladies here, like Plato said, "you can know a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation" *winks* so men out there, come and drop me a line...
