Thai v.s. Filipina


There always seem to be this friendly rivalry between Thai and Filipina ladies. I’m not sure how or why it started, but if you ask a Filipina what they think of Thai women and vice versa, usually the remarks are not too favorable. From a male’s perspective, both cultures have beautiful women, but don’t tell my wife I said that.

In my military days, I had tours in both countries (Thailand and Philippines). They both were heavily influenced by the U.S. because of our military presents during the Vietnam war. Either country was a great place to be if you were a single guy, but I won’t talk about those days now that I'm happily married to a beautiful Filipina lady.  Both cultures were family orientated and respected elders, especially their parents. There was a lot of similarities between both cultures but I must admit, English was more prominent in the Philippines than Thailand.

Here at Filipina Eyes, I think that 99% of the woman are from the Philippines. I think there are a few from Malaysia and maybe a few from the U.S. but by far the vast majority of the ladies are from the Philippines. All nationalities are welcome to join, but because of our name (Filipina Eyes) and the fact we advertise mostly in the Philippines, our lady membership is mostly Filipina.

Well from someone who has traveled in both countries I can say that they both have beautiful women. Catholicism rules in the PI, while Bhudism does in Thailand. On average I'd say women are a bit more out going in the PI. You'll get more eye contact and more smiles. Thailand seems to be more like Korea and Japan where you will rarely catch more then a fraction of a second of eye contact. The women in Thailand look just as diverse as Philipinnas. I once went to Thailand with a Philippina and they all tried talking to her in native language because even natives could not distinguish that she was not Thai.

I know a Thai woman who was a bartender, I met her in 2001 when I was working at the Barcelona (now name changed with new ownership.) Everyone just called her Uni (You-Knee) but that was shorthand for her real name which I couldn't pronounce. Probably why everyone called her Uni.

Anyways Dan The last time I saw her was about a year ago. She is one of those women that looks like she's in her early 20's but she's actually in her 50's, but I don't have any funny ideas about her because she's married.

Hello! This blog caught my attention. Iam a filipino chinese & because of the nature of my work. i had the chance to meet Thais & at the same time with filipinas. I also happen to love Thais. although i only met Thai men. who worked at a factory i was once assigned to take care of. They welcomed me like their own, a sister to be exact.but mostly im working with filipina workers here now. but those time i had with Thais i considered as memorable. They have great personality too. There's this saying we can never judge a book by its cover. it depends really on the person. no matter what race it is. Cheers to All.

A Filipina is a filipina. She's the sum of many traditions and cultures of the world, where east meets west. One thing would be sure of, if filipina woman love, it's a real love. She can't be compared with other beauties in the world. Her beauty is skin deep.

This blog caught my attention really. I never noticed it before LOL ! Well some knows that I have bad blood with Thai girls maybe because of my american ex-bf. He likes to go to Thailand and do some *** escapade there. He said thai girls are friendlier, relax, and calm. Oh well he never try to be with a filipina hahahaha I guess he lost half of his life.

Yea. I dont think theres really any comparison. I grew up around a lot of asians, being from southern cali. In my experience thai girls are more traditional, and arent as apt to date a white guy. While the filipina girls i met were all for it. Plus tagalog accent is 100x sexier than thai. Like when they say im just visiting there. It sounds like "i am just beeziting dair. It so much cuter than thai. And i agree with the above posts, theres a lot of different kinds of filipina beauties. Thai kinda look generic to me. Stay beatiful filipinas:-)

Friendly rivalries exist between all neighbours. Irish and English girls would have a similar relationship to Phils and Thai. It's national pride taking over I think.

Filipina's and Thai womens have a lot of differences the culture, traditions, beliefs, even our language though we have similarities when it comes to our beauties. But yet we are all unique in many different ways and looks good in someone else's eye's. That's why we have the sayings 'the beauty is in the eye of be holder'. So, we don't have compete. I believe that everyone of us is someone else's dreams. am just being nice. =))

filipina women looks like hispanic yes they have similarity in looks but not in culture! i agree with theforeigner1983! thai women are exotic yet they are very beautiful but most of them are look a like, while filipina have different beauties, thai women are family oriented as well as filipina but yet filipina are the best according to those foreigners who've got married with filipina haha. And men have to pay 1million ringgits or i dont know if its in dollar or whatever, to the parents of the thai woman that they chose to marry,part of their tradition!

Thailand women look extremely exotic. They look vastly different from Korean women. Filipinas look exactly like hispanic women. I think the two can be interchangeable just like Vietnamese women.
