Arrogance


Arrogance is sometimes hard to initially detect in another person. One isn’t sure if they are just a confident individual or if an individual has an exaggerated sense of their own importance. In the dating world, sometimes arrogance can equate to how someone overstates their looks.

When you first meet someone, there is no sure fire way of knowing if you are dealing with someone who is arrogant, confident, or may be a bit shy, but there are a few signs that may point the way. For example, if they don’t take the time to read or they delete the Admin Welcome email, this tells me they think they are above a few simple guidelines and don’t appreciate the effort that it takes to run a free dating site.

If their first email or response to a member’s email is something like “hit me up at ym.com”, I would be leery of individuals who don’t take a few minutes to properly introduce themselves. They are either lazy or think they are so dam good looking that you will gladly contact them on their terms.

Probably the one that irritates me the most is a lack of manners when someone contacts me or another member.  I will get emails from ill-mannered individuals asking me a question as if they were my boss and  I worked for them without any appreciation for the site.  I have zero tolerance for rude people and will delete their account without giving it a second thought.

If you are not sure,  maybe the only way to know if that first impression of an individual  is arrogance or someone who is confident is time. If you give a person a second or even third chance, you may find out that what you thought was arrogance was really shyness. Many shy people can come across as if they lack warmth or compassion and this can come across as being  arrogant.

If you do give a person a second or third chance, usually that is all it takes to discover if they are a pretentiousness individual or not. But then again, who knows, this may be the type of person you are looking for. But if you are looking for someone who is more sincere about love than their exaggerated  self worth, normally you will want to stay away from the “I’m too good to bother reading welcome emails, contact me without proper  introductions, and rude” individuals.

Finding love is not easy but before you find love, you first need to be sure you found someone who appreciates you for who you are and not someone who believes they are a gift to the dating world or believes that they are more important than the gift of love itself.

lol i agree with what markus said.. i hate it when Men comments nasty on photos.. especially if its soo obviously random comments.. ive been on another site before, i used to like comments but eventually got tired of them and i like mails and IMs better than comments. on the other hand, photo comments helped to boost confidence. :)

Sometimes because I am shy (only sometimes) people think I am snob or arrogant but if in one way or the other chief I acted that way my sincere apology ^_^

You can usually tell the arrogant men when they first message, IM or comment on a photo. Writing things like "you're so sexy... you're hot... baby, you turn me on" are all pick up lines that are used by male dogs in heat and are also VERY DISRESPECTFUL. What's worse is that these crude remarks don't end and continue with each mail, chat or comment. Guys like this are a blight on the online dating landscape and should be emasculated for the dogs they are... My two cents.
