Scammers love to copy photos from another site to submit to another site. If I get a photo with a watermark on it from another dating site I will not use it.
Sometimes it is a tough call because some watermarks do not make it obvious and it is hard to tell if the watermark is from another dating site or from a photo studio.
Photo studios will watermark their photos as well. If all webmasters used their URL as a watermark (i.e. www.xxxxxx.com) it would make easier to identify that the photo is from a website and not a photo studio.
By me watermarking my photos, it will not stop them from being copied, but it may prevent them being posted on another site. I watermark my photos with my URL. |
