When you upload a photo to the gallery, it will be in a waiting area to be approved by the Admin (the admin is looking for inappropriate photos, i.e. nude photos, etc).
If the photo is not obscene or display any offensive content, the admin will validate the photo.
After validation, the gallery will attempt to automatically watermark the photo. If it can not water mark the photo because it is too small, it will automatically reject it.
The other reason a photo may be rejected because it is a duplicate photo. You can always check your photos by clicking the "My Images" link.
