The holidays are here and for many it can be both a time of joy and sadness. I hope for most, that you have found joy. When holidays come, it is only human to reflect about the past year -- both good and bad. I think of my family, the people I miss and those who are struggling. If I was a rich man, I would make sure that all my loved ones would be taken care of, but instead we rely on each other, do what we can and like all families, are grateful for what we have.

For all members who have been loyal and part of Filipina Eyes (FE), thank you. I know for some, they will move on to other things, for some there are bound to be disagreements, and for some they are sharing love with someone they met on FE. We all know it isn't a perfect world, but maybe we can forgive and find that perfection in each others imperfection as human beings.

THE YEAR

As 2011 comes to a close (man, where did it go), I look forward to 2012 and new things happening at FE. When is still the question, but it will happen. I know searching can be tiring (I know I tire easily trying to keep the site going), but the alternate option is to give up. I can guarantee that you won't find love if giving up is your only option.

I wish I could tell you that everyone who comes to the site is honest, loving and sincere about their search for love, but that isn't always the case. Like LIFE, you are bound to meet both good and bad, as well as those who are hurt, those whose spirit is uplifting and some who are searching but don't know what they are looking for. I just know when you do find that ONE special person, no matter how long it takes, it changes your world -- it changes your life.

EILEEN

Eileen wants to do this cooking site so that is our latest project. However, I can't predict how successful it will be. Eileen and I operate on different energy levels. I'm always in a hurry, rushing to get things done while she can dwell on how to do something for days. I think we will have to find a happy medium if her site is going to work.
