Larry RIP

This is a sad day for the Filipina Eyes family. We lost one of our dear friends who we all came to know as Larry.

Larry joined us on 1-19-2011. He had an immediate impact with his words and kindness. For many, Larry became the reason why they would log in to the site. They simply wanted to read what Larry had to say.

On 3-29-11, I got an email from Larry's sister, Sheri, telling me the news of Larry passing due to a heart attack. I tried my best to put into words how I and other members felt, but words never seem adequate enough. Larry passed on 3-8-11. Larry's last visit to FE was on 3-6-11.

Larry was more than a member, but someone who became a friend to many. He never turn away when someone needed his advise. In many ways, In the short 3 months Larry was a member at FE he did more to reach out and touch people than some who have been members for 3 years.

Thank you Larry.

Proud Father

To say Larry was a proud father would be an understatement. It was obvious how he so loved his son and how much he was looking forward to spending more time with him once he moved to PI. Probably some of our last words was about him getting ready for his move. I know he had a house to sale and was anxious to start to get things in order. That is why when I did not hear from him in a while, I thought he was busy getting ready for his move.

Recently Larry celebrated his son's birthday. I can remember the joy he felt. I wish his son had more time to get to know him. I hope someone lets him know what a good Man his father was.

There are some things I wish I knew but I don't. I know he put, Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada as his home. I know the mother of his child lives in PI. There are a few things Larry shared with me privately as he did with many. It was Larry's way of reaching out to let everyone know that we all had a common thread of humanity. Thank you Larry.

In Closing

It is hard to close with words that help us to move on. Larry always left us with a C'ya in closing his blogs or comments. For many, they choose to believe that someday they will see Larry in a better place. Instead of goodbye they simple said to the man they loved C'ya.

For this humble webmaster, I will just say this newsletter will go out to Larry's email address. If his sister reads this, please know many at FE have sent their prays. Sheri, first, I want to thank you so much for replying to my email and letting us know. if you ever want to stop by Larry's home on the net we call FE, we would be honored to hear from you. We know for some families they rather keep their sorrow within the immediate family, but I wanted to let you know you are always welcome to email us or stop by to say hi.
